Magnesia Carbon Bricks

Alumina Magnesia carbon bricksAnderman Industrial Ceramics has key strategic partnerships with a major international manufacturer of Magnesia Carbon and alumina magnesia carbon bricks. Our large capacity output, combined with exacting manufacturing methods, enables us to be strategic suppliers to the leading steel companies of Asia and Europe.

This product family is a composite material based on magnesium oxide. These bricks show excellent resistance to thermal shock and corrosion at elevated temperatures and are used extensively in Steel industry. Its high melting point and resistance to hydration make it an ideal refractory material. The steelmaking requires extreme chemical, thermal and mechanical conditions that demand a high performance of materials, able to withstand the action of the molten steel bath and slag. Both Magnesia carbon and Alumina Magnesia carbon are able to offer such properties.

In addition to manufacturing standard brick sizes (MC 8/10/12/14/18) we are also able to produce specialist shapes designed to fit into all designs of reformer and electric arc furnaces.

Magnesia Carbon Brick

Magnesia-Carbon brick is resin-bonded brick made from dead-burned or fused magnesia and graphite. Anti-oxidant is added if required. Our control over bonding agents mean that these products are classed as eco friendly in terms of steel production. This material has good performance in thermal resistance, corrosion resistance, and spalling resistance.

These bricks are widely used in converters, EAFs, ladles, and refining furnaces.

Alumina Magnesia Carbon Brick

Alumina Magnesia- Carbon brick (AMC) is made from high quality Bauxite, corundum, fused magnesia, and graphite.

AMC has excellent residual expansion, low thermal conductivity, and better insulation performance than that of Magnesia-Carbon brick.

AMC is widely used in the slag line of the ladle, lower part of the ladle wall and ladle bottom.
