Jyalucem 20Jyalucem-20 is a high temperature adhesive specially designed for cementing, sealing and bonding ceramic to ceramic, ceramic to metal, ceramic to glass, glass to glass, glass to metals and refractories.

Jyalucem-20 is an alumina based inorganic ceramic adhesive cement which cures at low temperatures and has exceptional thermal shock resistance. As well as resistance to high temperatures of up to 1575oC and high thermal conductivity, this cement has excellent bond strength, and when properly cured forms a hard surface.

It is the ideal cement for tasks such as the potting of lamps into lamp housing and the lining of furnace doors and walls.

Advantages

  • Excellent abrasion resistance
  • Chemically resistant
  • Cures at low temperatures
  • High bond strength
  • Seals most surfaces

main applications

  • Potting of lamps into lamp housing
  • Encapsulating resistor wires
  • Encapsulating electrical heating elements
  • Lining furnace doors and walls
  • Potting elements into base

preparation

Like all our ceramic adhesive cements, Jyalucem-20 is very easy to apply and it seals most surfaces.

Mix with water in the ratio 4 parts powder to 1 part water by weight. Apply with suitable tool, such as spatula and allow to air dry at room temperature for 4 to 5 hours, then increase temperature to 200oC slowly over 2-3 hours, and leave to cure at the same temperature for up to an hour.
