Compare cements Enquiry

ZircocemZircocem 1 is a zircon based inorganic, ceramic adhesive setting cement which can be used to adhere together most surfaces, such as glass, metal and ceramic structures. Once applied, this cement will form high mechanical strength and exceptional chemical and thermal shock resistance, whilst also having low thermal expansion. This allows for the main uses to be for purposes such as the fixing of halogen lamp caps.

This is a zircon based high temperature ceramic adhesive also well known for its good electrical insulation and adherence to most surfaces.

Advantages

  • Good electrical insulation
  • Adheres to most surfaces (Ceramic, glass, metal)
  • If ambient temperature is low and greater thickness of sealing is required, a gentle heat cure up to 900C is suggested

main applications

  • Halogen lamp-cap fixing
  • Embedding electrical heating elements
  • Embedding wire wound resistors
  • Lining and maintaining Furnaces, kilns and refractories

preparation

Very easy to prepare this zircon based inorganic ceramic adhesive setting cement  is available in two components (powder and liquid).

Mix two components (ratio of 2 parts powder to 1 part liquid by weight) and apply by spray, brush or trowel.

Leave to air dry for 24 hours at 250C.

Typical characteristics
