Alucem HT2 is an inorganic alumina-based ceramic adhesive cement and is used to join, bond or fix to most surfaces such as ceramic, glass and metal quartz, as it offers a high bond strength and is very well known for its high temperature resistance properties.
Alucem HT 2 can resist temperatures in excess of 1500oC, as well as having excellent electrical and mechanical properties.
Depending upon the area of application, it is purchased in two separate components, a fine dry powder and a liquid, which are mixed to form a coating which can be applied either as a thick or thin coatings.
This alumina cement is appropriate for use on any electrical applications, such as encapsulating electrical heating elements.
These alumina-based two-component, ambient temperature curing cements, are ideal for bonding, assembling, sealing and joining ceramic to metal, ceramic to ceramic, glass to ceramic, glass to glass, glass to metals, ceramic to quartz, etc.
Mix the powder and liquid in the ratio 1 part powder to 1 part liquid and apply using suitable tool. Leave to cure for 24 hours at room temperature.
